Hoffmaster State Park--Children's Harvest Festival

Date:  October 11, 2013  -  October 13, 2013
Time:  All Day Event
Location: Hoffmaster State Park, 6585 Lake Harbor Road, Muskegon, MI, 49441

Join P.J. Hoffmaster State Park as we celebrate our 16th annual Children's Harvest Festival, Friday, October 11th - Sunday, October 13th, 2013.

Taking place in the wooded dunes of P.J. Hoffmaster this has become a very popular fall camping destination for registered campers only, so be sure to make your reservations well in advance.

Volunteers design events aimed at getting children outdoors and to provide families a safe location to appreciate a Michigan fall and the harvest season. The fun begins Friday evening with storytelling and snipe hunts and proceeds into Saturday with interpretive programs, scavenger hunts, an auction, outdoor activities, hayrides and guessing games to list only a few.

Make your campground reservations as soon as possible for this fun filled weekend.

To learn more about the event or for specific questions, call the park at 231-798-3711 or e-mail Terri Creeden at creedent@michigan.gov.

Please Note: The Michigan Department of Natural Resources makes every effort to provide the most up-to-date and accurate information on the web calendar. However, dates occasionally change and events may be canceled for any reason. Please call the unit hosting the event to confirm dates and times prior to your arrival.

A Recreation Passport is required for entry into all Michigan State Parks and Recreation Areas. Check "YES" when you renew your license plate. Learn more at www.michigan.gov/recreationpassport.
