Proud Lake Recreation Area--Panic! at Proud Lake

Date:  October 27, 2013
Time:  08:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Location: Proud Lake Recreation Area, 3500 Wixom Road, Commerce Twp., MI, 48382

Want to be scared out of your wits?  Think you can handle ghost, goblins and ghouls popping up out of nowhere as you walk along the twisty trails of the haunted forest?  Then Panic At Proud Lake is the hauntingly good time you’re looking for.  The Friends of Proud Lake once again present this incredibly popular annual event that includes a walk through the eerie forest - BOO! - followed by a tractor-drawn hayride back to your vehicle.

This event is held during the weekends of October 18-19 and 25-27, with a child-friendly version of the Panic taking place on Sunday the 27th.  Please meet at the park campground, which is located at 2900 Glengary Road in Commerce Township.  All proceeds go to the Friends of Proud Lake and are used in their efforts to help improve and maintain the Proud Lake State Recreation Area.  Please visit the Friends of Proud Lake Facebook page or website for further details or if you’d like to volunteer for the event.

Please Note: The Michigan Department of Natural Resources makes every effort to provide the most up-to-date and accurate information on the web calendar. However, dates occasionally change and events may be canceled for any reason. Please call the unit hosting the event to confirm dates and times prior to your arrival.

A Recreation Passport is required for entry into all Michigan State Parks and Recreation Areas. Check "YES" when you renew your license plate. Learn more at www.michigan.gov/recreationpassport.
