Sterling State Park--Radio-Controlled Airplane Float Flying

Date:  October 19, 2013
Time:  10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: Sterling State Park, 2800 State Park Road, Monroe, MI, 48162

Once again the Monroe Area Cloudbusters will be holding their Float Fly's for radio-controlled airplanes that take off and land from the water at Sterling State Park.

These amazing planes boast wingspans up to 6' across and reach speeds over 50 mph. You'll be amazed as they perform their mind-boggling aerobatics. Feel free to talk to the pilots and pick their brains about the ins and outs of this fun sport ... they love talking about their planes and might even get you hooked into trying it yourself!

If you've never flown off the water or seen it done, come on down to enjoy this unique hobby!

Please Note: The Michigan Department of Natural Resources makes every effort to provide the most up-to-date and accurate information on the web calendar. However, dates occasionally change and events may be canceled for any reason. Please call the unit hosting the event to confirm dates and times prior to your arrival.

A Recreation Passport is required for entry into all Michigan State Parks and Recreation Areas. Check "YES" when you renew your license plate. Learn more at www.michigan.gov/recreationpassport.
