Brighton Recreation Area--Dash of the Dead 5K Fun Run

This first annual Dash of the Dead 5K Fun Run will take place on the outstanding trail system of the Brighton State Recreation Area. While it is suitable for beginning runners, even those more experienced will enjoy the scenery, hills and twists and turns. And, of course, the potential for Zombie-sightings.

Watch out, or one of the Zombies may get one of your flags as you run the event. Get to the finish line with at least one of your flags and you make it out alive! Lose all your flags along the way, and it looks like you're a Zombie, too.

Register before September 21st and the cost is only $20 and you are guaranteed a t-shirt ... after that (up to the day of event), the cost is $25. The cost includes Dance of the Dead After Party crafts and activities.

Registration opens at 3:00, and the race begins approximately 4:15.
