MDOT to host public information meeting to discuss construction this year on M-50 in Charlotte

BACKGROUND:
Starting in May, MDOT will oversee a project that includes widening M-50 from two lanes to three, utility upgrades, and sidewalk repairs. In addition, the bridge over I-69 will be repaired.
Starting in June, M-50 will be closed between Cochran Avenue and I-69, and will remain closed until late August. A detour will be posted.
During bridge work at I-69, one lane of traffic will be open on the bridge using temporary traffic signals. On I-69, there will be intermittent lane closures in each direction under M-50.
