M-50 project near Brooklyn to begin the week of April 15

PROJECT DETAILS: 
This year, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will resurface M-50 north of Brooklyn between Riverside Road and Stoney Lake Road, and south of Brooklyn between Hand Highway and M-124. Improvements also include shoulder widening, guardrail upgrades and drainage improvements.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS: 
Starting this week, crews will start on the southern end of the project, south of US-12, with work on the shoulders and embankment.

Construction will take place during the day. At least one lane of traffic will be open under flag control. There will be no lane closures or construction taking place during race weekends at Michigan International Speedway (MIS).
