I-194 bridge repairs in Battle Creek start Monday

PROJECT:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be investing $4.5 million to repair five bridges, replace lighting and upgrade signs along almost 4 miles of I-194 in Battle Creek. The five bridges are I-194 over Fountain Street, Grand Trunk Railroad, Dickman Road, Conrail Railroad and the Kalamazoo River.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
There will be single-lane closures around the clock on I-194 between Columbia Avenue and Michigan Avenue through Aug. 30.

From Sept. 2 through Nov. 2 there will be daytime lane closures and shoulder closures, and all lanes of I-194 will be open 3-6 p.m. on weekdays.
