I-69 resurfacing continues on westbound lanes in Genesee County

PROJECT DETAILS:
Milling and resurfacing on I-69 from the Shiawassee/Genesee county line to Elms Road, including the ramps at M-13 and Morrish Road. A short section of M-13, near the westbound I-69 ramps to M-13, also will be milled and resurfaced. This project is weather-dependent.

Work on the eastbound lanes wrapped up last night.

Work on the westbound lanes begins Wednesday night, Sept. 4.

TRAFFIC IMPACT:

  • Work begins on westbound I-69 from Morrish Road to M-13.
  • A left- lane closure will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Once work wraps up in the left lane, a right lane closure will follow.
  • Short-duration ramp closures will be in effect to allow for paving the right lane.
  • Westbound ramps will be closed for milling and resurfacing after the roadway is paved.
  • This work is expected to be completed by Friday, Sept. 6.
  • MDOT will announce additional work along westbound I-69 as it is scheduled.
  • The overall project is anticipated to be completed by October.
