September 16, 2013 -- The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has launched an online survey to learn what Michigan commercial truck drivers think of the performance of the state highway system (I, M and US routes), and better understand their needs and opinions. The survey can be found online at Commercial Truck Driver Survey.
MDOT has been surveying the attitudes and perceptions of residents, visitors, businesses and transportation partners since 2005 to learn what it is doing right and what it can do better in proving transportation services. This year, MDOT is gathering information from commercial shippers, starting with the trucking industry.
"These survey results will help us track our progress in improving service to our customers," said State Transportation Director Kirk T. Steudle. "As always, MDOT is committed to making travel in Michigan safer and more efficient."
The survey is available online until Wednesday, Sept. 25.
