Haunted Lighthouse Weekend

Date:  October 18, 2013  -  October 19, 2013
Time:  All Day Event
Location: Tawas Point Lighthouse, East Tawas

Visit with the ghosts and ghouls of the historic Tawas Point Lighthouse. Enjoy this once-a-year opportunity to climb the tower and see the light at night!

Activities include pumpkin bowling, pumpkin painting and other seasonal crafts and games. On Saturday, don't miss the Monster Bash dance at the pavilion, 6:30 to 10 p.m.

Campers at the park participate in the campsite decorating contest and trick-or-treat in the campground from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Visitors to the day's events can see the ghoulishly festive decorations by taking a hay ride through the campground. See our Sponsor Cemetery, where local businesses create tombstones with fun epitaphs.

Take a tour of the Tawas Point Lighthouse for only $2 per person—on Friday, from 5 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This event is free of charge, although a Michigan State Parks Recreation Passport is required for park entry. For more information, please send us an e-mail or telephone (989) 362-5658.
