The Department of Natural Resources today announced that Ludington State Park in Mason County will on Monday, Oct. 28, begin the process of lowering Hamlin Lake to its winter level.
It is anticipated the process will take three to six weeks, depending upon precipitation during the period. The winter level is maintained at approximately 2 feet below the summer level and is necessary to control ice damage and erosion. For more information, contact the park at 231-843-2423.
