  • Events and Activities in State ParksThe Michigan State Parks "Go Get Outdoors" program helps you and your family get acquainted with the parks and all there is to do. Check out the calendar. Try kiteboarding, kayaking and a host of other sports and recreational activities taught by some of the best experts in their field all compliments of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
  • State Park Visitor Centers, Historic Sites and MuseumsDNR's Parks and Recreation Division manages one of the largest state park programs in the nation with over 100 state park and recreation areas. In seven of these locations, DNR has Visitor Centers with full time staff to interpret nature through a variety of programs, family events, and outdoor experiences. Bring your group to Mackinac State Historic Parks for a great first-hand on side experience or bring Mackinac to your classroom.
