Natural Resources Commission Youth Conservation Council

For in the end, we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand and we will understand only what we are taught.

  • Have fun outdoors

Who Should Join
We are looking for young people, ages 14 to 18, with a variety of backgrounds and interests who care about Michigan's great outdoors. Whether you're an avid hunter or just enjoy being outdoors, we want your input on all aspects of outdoor recreation and involvement.

What You'll Do
As a council member, you'll meet with peers and natural resource mentors, brainstorm ideas, give advice, research and communicate with team members, and participate in outdoor activities under the guidance of Department of Natural Resources staff.
