Public Comment on State Plan on Aging Accepted Through May 20

LANSING - The Michigan Office of Services to the Aging (OSA) is accepting public comment for the fiscal year 2014-2016 State Plan on Aging through May 20, 2013.
The State Plan on Aging - required for federal funding - proposes a policy and program framework for services and supports for Michigan's older adult population.
"I encourage anyone who is interested in the future of Michigan's aging services to read the draft plan and tell us what you think," said OSA Director Kari Sederburg. "We look forward to working with our partners and the public to thoughtfully evaluate what we are doing and figure out new and innovative ways to expand or deliver better services throughout the state."
Michigan residents are invited to read the draft Fiscal Year 2014-2016 State Plan on Aging at http://www.michigan.gov/documents/osa/2014-16_OSA_State_Plan_DRAFT_418212_7.pdf.
Comments are accepted in written form and may be emailed to OSADirector@michigan.gov, faxed to 517-373-4092 or mailed to P.O. Box 30676, Lansing, MI 48909.
The Michigan Commission on Services to the Aging will also be taking public comment on the plan on May 17. It will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel located at 111 N.
