Contact: Mario Morrow 517-373-9280

Agency: Licensing and Regulatory Affairs

March 19, 2013 - The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) has immediately suspended the registered nurse license of Anthony David Parkman, R.N., of Southfield based on his conviction in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.

On June 26, 2012, Parkman was convicted of conspiracy to commit health care fraud. Parkman was sentenced to imprisonment for 30 months and supervised release for a period of two years with terms. Parkman was also ordered to pay restitution of $450,988; an assessment of $100; and a forfeiture money judgment of $13,888,939.

On March 12, 2013, LARA issued an order summarily suspending Parkman's license pursuant to the Public Health Code which provides for the mandatory summary suspension of a health professional's license upon the conviction of a felony, a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for a maximum term of two years, or a controlled substance-related conviction.
