When and where can I take the mechanic tests to become certified?
 
Answer:
The State of Michigan motor vehicle mechanic tests are available at selected Secretary of State branch offices throughout the state.  The Bureau of Regulatory Services offers written tests at selected Secretary of State branch offices.  To obtain detailed branch office location information (address or business hours), visit the Michigan Department of State's complete Branch Office Location Map.  There is a $6.00 fee for each test.
