"News You Can Use"

New City, Township and Village Clerks:  As you are aware, a number of city, township and village clerks have taken office since January 2004.      To assist us in ensuring that our records and mailing lists are accurate and up-to-date, please complete the attached survey and return it via fax (517) 241-1591 to the attention of Sue McRill, Bureau of Elections.  (If there are no new clerks in your county, please indicate by writing none on the form and faxing it back.)

The information that you provide will also be used to identify the new officials that will be scheduled to attend one of the mandatory accreditation workshops that we will be conducting prior to the first of the year.  As you may recall, under MCL 168.31(j), all county, city, township and village clerks must complete the accreditation process within six months prior to conducting their first election.

We would like to offer accreditation during the month of December.  Therefore, your return of the completed survey by December 3rd would be greatly appreciated.  Please click on the link below.
