| AutoDial Patch for Qualified Voter File |
|
Use – This patch should be used in conjunction with analog modem dialup systems. This patch will reset configuration settings to their original state, so it should only be used if you are having the problems stated below:
- Your system is not replicating nightly. A good check of this is your QVF Inbox (if you haven’t seen new transactions in your inbox for a few days).
- Your system does not connect to MichNet or your ISP (Internet Service Provider) after opening Internet Explorer. It should only dial if there isn’t already a connection present.
- Your system does not connect to MichNet or your ISP (Internet Service Provider) after opening Outlook Express. It should only dial if there isn’t already a connection present.
- Your system does not connect to MichNet or your ISP (Internet Service Provider) after opening Server Manager. It should only dial if there isn’t already a connection present.
- Download QVF Autodial Patch
- Click OK to ‘Save this program to disk’
- Select Desktop from the Save In dropdown.
- Click Save to save the file to your Desktop. This process will take a few minutes.
- The Save window will turn to ‘Download Complete’. When this happens, Click on the Open button.
- Click Proceed to run the patch. **Note: By Clicking Proceed, you will run the patch causing your computer to restart. Be sure to save all open windows.
- After the system has restarted, wait 30 seconds after seeing all of your desktop icons reappear before attempting to use the Server Manager to replicate. The system should automatically connect after opening Server Manager to allow for replication.
If you have any questions about the above, please contact the Qualified Voter File Helpdesk at (800) 310-5697
