QVF Software Version 1.78: The primary change in version 1.78 is in the way the QVF will track and display voter history.  You will see this change when you click on the History button in a voter's Voter Registration screen.  In the past, the History screen had displayed two grids; one showing a list of elections a voter had participated in; the other was a list of changes that had been applied to a voter's record.  With version 1.78, you will see a screen with one grid and three tabs.  The Voting Record tab will display the list of elections the voter participated in as before.

It is in Change History where you will see the change.  There will be two tabs containing change history.  The Change History (Old Format) tab will again display change history as you have seen it in the past.

The new format is in the tab labeled Change History.  The new format will present information in more detail, giving you information on when and who entered changes.  Related information on a change will be contained in folders that can be opened to see related details or closed to make the list shorter.

There will be a transition period during which change history items will be listed in both the old format and new format tabs.  You will be able to compare how information is presented in the two tabs.  At the end of the transition period, new changes will only be listed in the Change History tab, and the overlapping entries will be deleted form the Change History (Old Format) tab.  From that time on, changes initiated prior to a certain date will be available in the Old Format tab, and changes made to a record after that date will only be listed in the Change History tab.

Other Software Changes Include:

  • The minor political parties edit field in the Election Administration module is now optional for village general elections.
  • The help hints on the backup and restore buttons of the backup/restore program were corrected.
  • Updated/added content to the remaining help sections.
