Release of Software version 1

Release of Software version 1.79: On Tuesday morning, March 4, after 11:00 AM, a new version of the QVF software will be released. Please update your software at your earliest convenience.

Significant changes to the software in version 1.79 include:

1.       The jurisdiction name now prints in the return address of the AV application.  Previously the jurisdiction appeared only in the opening line of the application, with version 1.79 the jurisdiction will now print below the clerk's name and title.

2.       The Redistricting Cards feature has been removed.  Some of the information in this feature had become out of date.  Removing the Redistricting Cards feature eliminates the possibility of using out of date information to produce ID cards.

3.       A vendor out put file option for ID Cards and Master Cards has been added to the Custom Voter List screen.  Version 1.79 allows you to choose Print to Zip/Disk in the Print Options portion of the screen after you have chosen Master or ID Cards (QVF Printed Front and Back) in the Out Put Format drop down list. The ID card file saves to disk in the same Microsoft Word mail merge format that vendors used to print ID cards for redistricting changes last year.

Further information on version 1.79 is included in the QVF Desktop Reference update, which you should receive later this month.
