Release of Software Version 1.80:  On Tuesday morning, May 13, a new version of the QVF software will be released.  The QVF Server will be down and unavailable for replication from 10:30 - 11:30 AM.  Please update your software at your earliest convenience after 11:30 AM.  For the most part, version 1.80 corrects several recently identified problems.

The corrections are as follows:

  1. Allows Custom Voter Lists to be generated for Special General elections.
  2. Allows election inspectors to be assigned to elections that are set up by district.
  3. Allows school or village precinct numbers to display on the AV Scan Screen and AV Applications and AV Ballots Screen, and print on AV Applications and AV Ballot Mailing Labels for those election types.
  4. Eliminates duplicate history entries on the Change History and Change History (Old Format) tabs.  Future history changes will only be entered in the new format Voter History screen.
  5. NVRA reports for dual county jurisdictions will automatically include data for voters in both counties.
  6. Eliminates problem that resulted in orphan counting board associations when editing and renaming an existing counting board.

QVF Software Update Instructions:

  1. On the Windows Main Desktop, double click on QVF Server Manager.
  2. QVF Server Manager should automatically connect to the Internet. (If you do not automatically connect to the Internet, first double click on the MichNet icon on the Windows Main Desktop, then double click on QVF Server Manager.)
  3. After the QVF Server Manager screen appears, and your Internet connection is established, a warning will appear telling you to make sure the QVF program is closed.  Click OK if QVF is completely closed.
  4. On the QVF Server Manager screen, make sure that the Software Release is set to Public.
  5. The Update Software check box should automatically be checked, if not, check Update Software.
  6. Click the Update Server Now button in the lower left corner of the screen.
  7. A message will appear letting you know when the process has completed.

To verify your software version, check the release and version number in the lower left corner of the QVF Main screen.

**Note:  If you have problems with your update, please call the QVF Helpdesk at 1-800-310-5697.
