Accreditation Training Programs to be Offered:  The Bureau of Elections will be offering 19 - Accreditation Workshops at regional locations throughout the state.  These free programs are being offered to city, township and village clerks that have not yet completed the mandatory accreditation process as provided for under MCL 168.31(j) which requires the Secretary of State to provide comprehensive training and accreditation for all county, city, township and village clerks and school election administrators. 

 

A complete schedule of dates, times and locations is provided below.  If you have not yet completed the accreditation process, we strongly encourage you to plan on attending one of these workshops at a location that is most convenient to your schedule.  Our goal is to ensure that all clerks receive their accreditation prior to the 2004 election cycle.  Pre-registration is not required.  Participation by deputy clerks and other assistants is optional under the law.  These programs are not designed for election inspectors.
