Release of Software Version 1.81:  A new version of QVF software was released this morning. The following changes have occurred:

Version 1.81 - 10/7/2003

• When logging in to the QVF program, the system will notify you if you need to do a software update. (image)
• When logging in to the QVF program, if your computer has not replicated for 3 days, the system will notify you that a replication needs to be done.
• We have added a “show schools” checkbox to the Election Administration screen. This allows the user to control whether or not the screen includes school elections in the main elections grid.
• We adjusted the QVF Backup and Restore utility so the user  must provide a valid file name when backing up their signatures and comments.  Only sites that have scanned their card file signatures into the QVF will be affected by this update.

QVF Software Update Instructions

1. On the Windows Main Desktop, double click on QVF Server Manager.
2. QVF Server Manager should automatically connect to the Internet. (If you do not automatically connect to the Internet, first double click on the MichNet icon on the Windows Main Desktop, then double click on QVF Server Manager. Run the Autodialfix.exe program (usually located on your desktop) to correct this issue.)
3. After the QVF Server Manager screen appears, and your Internet connection is established, a warning will appear telling you to make sure the QVF program is closed.  Click OK if QVF is completely closed.
4. On the QVF Server Manager screen, make sure that the Software Release is set to Public.
5. The Update Software check box should automatically be checked, if not, check Update Software.
6. Click the Update Server Now button in the lower left corner of the screen.
7. A message will appear letting you know when the process has completed.
8. Verify your software version by checking the release and version number located in the lower left corner of the QVF Main screen.
