New QVF "Election Wizard" Module: We are pleased to announce that the Bureau of Elections will soon introduce a new QVF module that is designed to streamline a number of tasks associated with the ballot definition, design and proofing process.  The module will also facilitate the electronic reporting of election results for state and federal elections.  An overview of the planned features was presented to members of the QVF Advisory Committee and CEO group at two separate meetings held in Delta Township (Eaton County) on August 15, 2007 and in our Lansing offices on November 14, 2007.  The reaction and comments of those in attendance were very positive. 

In effect, the Election Wizard module will take the QVF to its next logical phase as an Election Management System.  The new QVF features will simplify the following processes:

• Through an automated process housed in the QVF system, accurately create most federal, state and local elections, including school elections, taking into account the geographic complexity involved in Election Consolidation legislation.
• Provide all office, candidate and proposal information for all elections in a standard electronic format for those responsible for optical scan and AutoMARK programming. 
• Facilitate the electronic receipt and standardization of election night results. 
• Provide accurate listings of all election dates, offices, candidate names and proposal language. 
• Provide accurate ballot information for the MVIC website immediately following all filing deadlines for all elections.
