Michigan Voter Information Center (MVIC):  The Michigan Department of State's Bureau of Elections has enhanced MVIC to automatically generate sample ballots for registered voters based on QVF Election Wizard (E Wizard) candidate and office information.  We are planning to display August primary sample ballots on MVIC beginning June 26, 2008. 

At this date, the Bureau has entered all top of the ticket office and candidate information for the sample ballot.  To ensure your local office and candidate information displays on the MVIC sample ballot, it is important that you update E Wizard Stage 1 and Stage 2 in QVF prior to June 26, 2008.  After June 26, 2008, MVIC will update sample ballot information daily based on any additions or changes in E Wizard Stage 1 and Stage 2. 

Election Wizard Assistance:  The following information provides guidelines for data entry into the E Wizard for primary elections:  

• County Clerks are responsible for the entry of all precinct delegate candidates in Stage 2. 

• "Position on ballot" ordering for candidate entry in Stage 2 should be entered in the following manner:

1.      Partisan - Candidates are listed by party in alphabetical order beginning with the Republican Party.

2.      Non-Partisan ? Candidate names are listed in alphabetical order.
