REMINDER - County Clerk/County Board of Canvassers Training: As earlier announced, beginning on June 23, 2008, the Bureau of Elections will conduct a series of regional training programs for county clerks and persons serving on county canvassing boards.

Each program will begin with a brief discussion regarding preparations for the November 4, 2008 general election. The remainder of the program will be devoted to the procedures associated with the canvass and certification of elections and the conduct of vote recounts. Past programs have been well received and have led to greater consistency in the manner in which county canvassing boards throughout the state perform their duties.

All sessions will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. If you have not done so already, please forward a copy of this notice and schedule to the members of your canvassing boards. Please feel free to attend the session that is most convenient to your location and schedule. An RSVP is not required. Please do not hesitate to contact this office if you have any questions.
