AIMS 1.3 Upgrade
- Rollout:
On August 21, 2008 the Board of
State Canvassers approved a new version of AIMs software. Software version
1.3 will reduce the issues related to ballots printing on one side only and
will also enable the machines to accept Optech ballots up to 22 inches in
length. In addition, the new version simplifies the process for transferring
tabulator programming into AIMS.
The new software version must
be installed on all machines prior to the November 4, 2008 general election.
Version 1.3, which is currently being installed throughout the state by ES&S
and Bureau staff as part of a joint effort, takes about three minutes per
machine to install and does not require recalibration using white and blue
sheets of paper.
If the new software version has
not yet been installed on your machines, you will be contacted in the near
future by an ES&S representative or a member of our staff to make arrangements
