Mapping Verification
Application (MVA):
As the
November general election approaches, an increasing number of voters are
accessing the Michigan Voter Information Center (MVIC) web site. A popular
and useful component of the MVIC is the clerk contact and polling location
mapping feature. Each polling location and each county, city and township
office has been mapped based on its address. As we have observed that some of
the maps do not pinpoint the exact locations of the buildings, we wish to
alert you that you can now directly edit and update clerk and polling
locations on the map with our new Mapping Verification Application (MVA).
County clerks can review and update their own maps as well as those of the
smaller jurisdictions in the county that do not have direct access to the QVF.
You can access the MVA through the QVF
Statewide Index. Log into the Statewide Index using your Statewide Lookup
username and password and then click on "Clerk/Polling Location
Verification." When you enter the MVA application, you will see a map of the
location of the clerk's office. Full instructions on how to use the MVA can
be accessed by clicking on the "HELP" button in the upper right-hand corner of
the map.
Please take a moment to review the accuracy
of your contact and polling location information. If you have any questions
or problems using the MVA, contact the Help Desk at 1-800-310-5697.
