Secretary of State "Election Email" System" ? Update:  Beginning on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, the "Election Email" system established by the Bureau earlier this year will be the only electronic communications system that will be used to distribute Bureau communications including all "Election News" and "News You Can Use" issues, special announcements and surveys.

With this change, electronic communications distributed by the Bureau will no longer be forwarded to personal email addresses or QVF email accounts (Outlook Express).

When the "Election Email" system was launched in late August, an email account was established for every county, city and township in the state at no cost to the jurisdiction.  Accounts were also established for villages that conduct their own elections.  If you have not yet accessed your account, we would urge you to do so as soon as possible.  You can conveniently access your account from any computer that has Internet service.  As the regular use of the account will be essential to staying informed on election related news and developments, it is very important that you access your account on a frequent basis.

If you need assistance with accessing or using your "Election Email" account, please contact the QVF Help Desk at 1-800-310-5697.

Reminder - November 4 General Election Voter History Deadline:  The deadline to enter voter history for the November 4 general election is Friday, December 19.  The information presented in the Voter Turnout Report is based on a snapshot of the voter history entered prior to the 45th day following the election.  Therefore, while voter history entered after December 19 will still be reflected in the individual voter records and reports produced through the Custom Voter List module, it will not be reflected in the QVF Voter Turnout Report, which is the "official" statistical record for your jurisdiction.

If you are the clerk of a jurisdiction that does not have direct access to the QVF, it is recommended that you work with your county clerk to ensure that this task is completed by the above deadline.
