Contact:  Kelly Chesney (517) 373-2520
Agency: Secretary of State

JUNE 23, 2005

Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Whitehall branch office will stay open during the lunch hour to serve customers beginning Monday, July 18.

"Additional office hours mean greater convenience for Muskegon County customers," Land said. "We’re always looking for ways to deliver better service. This is just one more way we’re making it easier for customers to take care of business."

The office at 3297-A E. Colby Road will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

Customers who need to renew vehicle tabs can "skip the trip" to a branch office by using the Internet, mail or touch-tone telephone. Easy to follow directions are included with the renewal notice.
