Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in Kalamazoo County to serve customers in the Schoolcraft area on Sept. 7 - 8.
The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.
It will be in the Schoolcraft Village Hall parking lot, 154 W. Eliza. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 7 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 8.
"We’re excited to bring the mobile office to Kalamazoo County," Land said. This is a convenient way for area customers to take care of business. I encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity."
Following its visit to Schoolcraft, the Mobile Branch Office will be in South Lyon, Allendale, Ravenna, Big Rapids and Mt. Pleasant. It has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly eight years ago.
Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
