Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in Wayne County to serve customers in Riverview and Detroit. On Oct. 5 – 6 it will be at Riverview City Hall, 14100 Civic Park Dr. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

On Oct. 12 - 13 the office will be at the Friendship Manor Nursing Home, 3950 Beaubien, Detroit. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

"This is a convenient way for area customers to take care of business," Land said.

"I encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity."

Following its visit to Riverview and Detroit, the Mobile Branch Office will be in Bloomingdale Township and Wayland. It has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly eight years ago.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
