SEPTEMBER 23, 2005
Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land reminds residents that the Mohawk branch office will return to service one day per week instead of two beginning in October.
The office will maintain that schedule through March. In April, services will be offered two days per week as it adjusts to the higher seasonal business volume.
The office at 3616 U.S. Highway 41 will be open:
- Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It closes for lunch from12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- The first day of service in October is Thursday, Oct. 6.
The Mohawk branch office opened in January 1999 and is the first full-service
branch office operated by the Secretary of State’s Office in Keweenaw County.
Customers who need to renew license plates can "skip the trip" to a branch office and renew by Internet, mail or touch-tone telephone. Easy to follow instructions are enclosed with the renewal notice.
