Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in Allegan County to serve customers in the Plainwell area on June 14 - 15.

The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is accessible to the disability community. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

It will be at City Hall, 141 North Main. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

"This is a convenient way for area customers to take care of business," Land said.

"I encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity."

Following its visit to Plainwell, the Mobile Branch Office will be in Elsie, Westphalia and Dearborn Heights. The Mobile Branch Office has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly nine years ago.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
