Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in Plainwell and at Vicksburg's Old Car Festival to serve customers June 11 through 14.
Plainwell hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 12. The office will be at City Hall, 141 N. Main St.
The office then will move to the car festival at the corner of Main and Prairie streets in Vicksburg. Hours are 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, June 13, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 14.
"I encourage Plainwell, Vicksburg and other local customers to take advantage of this convenient option to conduct their Department of State business," Land said. "The mobile office is a great example of how we're offering service options close to you."
The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is accessible to people with disabilities. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer that has logged more than 125,000 miles since it first hit the road more than 10 years ago.
Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department's online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
