Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be at Charlotte High School on April 27 – 28 to serve area customers.
The facility provides all services found at any Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.
Charlotte High School is at 378 State St. Mobile Branch Office hours on April 27 are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 28.
"We’re reaching out to customers across Michigan," Land said. "The Mobile Branch Office is a great tool that lets us bring service to you."
Following its visit to Charlotte, the Mobile Branch Office will travel to Grand Rapids, Morenci, Muskegon Heights, Lansing and Galesburg in May. It has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly seven years ago.
Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, vehicle license plates and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site also helps customers determine fees and requirements before they go to an office.
