Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch
Office will be in downtown Lansing at the Veterans Stand Down to serve area
customers on May 19.
The facility provides all services found at any Secretary of State branch
office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot
trailer.
The Veterans Stand Down will be on the lawn on the east side of the Hall of
Justice building, 925 W. Ottawa facing Allegan Street. Mobile Branch Office
hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
"We’re reaching out to customers across Michigan," Land said.
"The Mobile Branch Office is a great tool that lets us bring services to
our customers."
Following its visit to Lansing, the Mobile Branch Office will travel to
Galesburg later in May. It has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit
the road nearly seven years ago.
Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the
department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos
before visiting any branch office. For example, vehicle license plates and
watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site also helps
customers determine fees and requirements before they go to an office.
