Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be at Galesburg City Hall in Kalamazoo County on May 24 – 25 to serve area customers.
The facility provides all services found at any Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.
The Galesburg City Hall is at 200 E. Michigan Avenue. Mobile Branch Office hours on May 24 are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 25.
"This allows us to serve all areas of Michigan," Land said. "I encourage people to take advantage of our Mobile Branch Office."
Following its visit to Galesburg, the Mobile Branch Office will travel to Salem Township and Battle Creek in June. It has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly seven years ago.
Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, vehicle license plates and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site also helps customers determine fees and requirements before they go to an office.
