Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land listens as Mark Bashow of the Center for Independent Living in Macomb County, right, speaks about the importance of voting place accessibility. Land was in Shelby Township to announce the award of more than $30,000 in voting place accessibility grants to four Macomb communities under Michigan's "Improving Accessibility for All" program.
