Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land unveils the 2004 Watercraft Decal Design Challenge on the Capitol steps. Bill sponsors Sen. Patricia Birkholz, left to the podium, and Sen. Jason Allen, and Rep. David Palsrok, on the right, flank Secretary Land. The program provides residents with an opportunity to submit ideas for a fund-raising watercraft decal designed to battle aquatic nuisance species. Proceeds will support education and research to help eliminate invasive pests from the Great Lakes and Michigan waters.
