Reporting Unlicensed Repair Facilities, Mechanics or Dealers

A repair facility or mechanic who performs a motor vehicle repair or a vehicle dealer who sells vehicles, without a license issued by the Department of State is in violation of the Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Act.

Information regarding an unlicensed dealer, unlicensed repair facility, or uncertified mechanic can be provided to the Bureau of Information Security by filling out an on-line complaint form.  These complaints can be filed anonymously by stating so on the form.  You may also mail, fax or e-mail complaints and documents to:
