AARP Driver Safety Driving Resource Center - Interactive Driving Simulations

If you drive, regardless of your age, try stopping at the AARP online Driver Safety Driving Resource Center. You may be surprised at what you learn there. The site offers a number of fun, informative and innovative tools and resources for free to help drivers become better drivers.

You do not have to be an AARP member to take advantage of the materials. In fact, you do not even have to be a senior citizen. The AARP Driving Resource Center challenges all drivers, young, middle-aged and old, to test their driving IQ and see where their traffic safety skills are strong or in need of improvement.

Of special interest are the interactive driving simulations. These use actual video of street scenes and your computer keyboard or mouse to place you in the middle of driving simulations that will test your reaction time and road smarts. Try your hand at “Visual Search,” “Left Turns,” “Traffic Circles (Roundabouts),” “Left-Right,” “Lane Changes,” or “Hazard Detection” and see how you score. It’s easy, entertaining and educational. Use what you learn to become a better, safer driver.
