• Self-InsuranceAdministration of the Michigan Self Insurers certification program has been transferred to the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs - Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation effective January 1, 2013. The Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation (OFIR) is the state agency responsible for regulating Michigan's insurance companies and is dedicated to protecting Michigan consumers by ensuring the companies that it regulates are safe and sound, follow state and federal law, and are entitled to the public confidence.
