Mobile Branch Office visits Allegan County visit Oct. 29 - 30
OCTOBER 15, 2008
Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that
the Mobile Branch Office will be in Allegan County to serve Wayland-area
customers on Oct. 29 and 30.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, and 8
a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30. The office will be near the city's Public
Safety Building, 160 W. Superior St.
"I encourage Wayland-area customers to take advantage of
this convenient option to conduct their Department of State business," Land
said. "The mobile office is a great example of how we're continually offering
services close to you."
The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch
office and is accessible to people with disabilities. It is hauled statewide on
a 24-foot trailer that has logged more than 125,000 miles since it first hit the
road more than 10 years ago.
Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to
check out the department's online services at
www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license
tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will
help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
