    Secretary of State Rochester Hills office to close for remodeling Nov. 29 - Dec. 10

    The Secretary of State Rochester Hills office at 2250 Crooks Road will be closed for remodeling from Monday, Nov. 29, through Friday, Dec. 10.

    Customers and staff will benefit from extensive renovations that include new carpeting and a more customer-friendly counter design.

    The office will reopen at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13. Office hours will remain unchanged. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

    Area residents who need Secretary of State services during the remodel also may visit the following offices:

    Oakland County SUPER!Center
    1608 N. Perry St,
    Pontiac
    East Oakland County PLUS
    1111 E. Long Lake Road,
    Troy
     Central Macomb County PLUS
    50640 Schoenherr Road
    Shelby Township

    The offices are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday. The SUPER!Center also is open from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The offices feature a Self-Service Station that is available 24 hours a day for convenient license plate tab renewals.

    The Secretary of State mails notices to motorists 45 days before their driver's license or license plates expire so that they have ample time to renew. Residents may "skip the trip" to a branch office by renewing vehicle and watercraft registrations online or by mail. Details are included with the renewal notice.
