CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – With extensive restoration work complete, the Secretary of State SUPER!Center in Clinton Township reopened today, Secretary of State Ruth Johnson announced.

The office has been closed since Aug. 28, when flooding from a broken pipe at the mall left two inches of standing water on the floor at 37015 S. Gratiot Ave. near 16 Mile Road.

After equipment, furniture and inventory was removed from the building, a remediation company began work at the office. Contractors then reconstructed drywall, painted, repaired electrical wiring and installed new carpet.

"I want to thank Clinton Township-area residents for their patience during the extensive restoration process necessary to re-open this office," Johnson said. "With the new paint and carpet, it should have a fresh look and feel for customers."

The Clinton Township SUPER!Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday; and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Johnson reminds customers that a trip to the Secretary of State may not be necessary as many transactions can be accomplished online at www.ExpressSOS.com.
