Board of State Canvassers meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 1

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT THE BOARD OF STATE CANVASSERS WILL MEET ON THURSDAY, JULY 1, 2004 AT 8:45 A.M. IN ROOM 424 OF THE STATE CAPITOL, LANSING, MICHIGAN.

Included on the Agenda will be:

• Canvass and certification of the June 29, 2004 special election conducted in Kalkaska County to subject Charles Erickson, Kalkaska County Road Commissioner, to a recall vote.
• Canvass and certification of the June 29, 2004 special election conducted in Kalkaska County to subject Donald Vyverberg, Kalkaska County Road Commissioner, to a recall vote.
• Canvass and certification of the June 29, 2004 special election conducted in Kalkaska County to subject Dale Wells, Kalkaska County Road Commissioner, to a recall vote.
• Report and motion to reinstate approval of petition form submitted by the Michigan Civil Rights Initiative, P.O. Box 1398, Southgate, Michigan 48915 as ordered by the Michigan Court of Appeals.
• Consideration of initiative petition submitted for approval as to form by the Michgian Civil Rights Initiative, P.O. Box 1398, Southgate, Michigan 48915. (Form references November 7, 2006 general election. Proposal would amend the State Constitution to prohibit the state and all state entities from discriminating or granting preferential treatment based on race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin.)
• Such other and further business as may be properly presented to the Board.

A person who wishes to address the Board on an agenda item at the time the item is being discussed must submit a written request to the Chairperson of the Board prior to the opening of the meeting. Persons addressing the Board are allotted three minutes.
