How can I reinstate my CDL privileges?
If the medical examiner's certificate has expired, you must obtain a new one.
If the medical variance document has expired, you must obtain a new one from
FMCSA and provide the documents to the Secretary of State's Office, which may
require retesting and additional fees to re-issue you a CDL. If applicable, you
also may change your self-certification to an operating category that does not
require a medical certificate to be submitted to the Secretary of State's
Office.
