After I provide the Secretary of State's Office with my unexpired medical examiner's certificate, do I still have to carry it with me when operating a commercial motor vehicle?

Yes. Until the program is fully implemented on Jan. 30, 2014, all drivers who
certify to non-excepted interstate must carry an original or copy of the
medical examiner's certificate when operating a commercial motor vehicle. They
also must provide a copy for their employer's driver qualification file.
