Required State License(s):  

All facilities providing day care for children should be licensed with the Department of Human Services, Office of Children and Adult Licensing; (517) 241-2488.  

As of July 1, 1991 -- if the facility is not connected to a city water system, water should be tested by the local county health department.  

Further Information:  

Child care centers should have personnel trained in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. HB 4615, PA 349; bill signed and filed 12/15/94.  

An exceptional liability insurance policy is highly recommended.
